November. Brownies hold fundraising event for tigers

On Saturday 15th November, a fundraising event was held by 1st Hornby Brownies. The event was held to raise money for The sumatran Tiger trust. After visiting the park in September, some of the Brownies were especially concerned over the small number of tigers left and therefore wanted to sponsor tigers in the wild through the Sumatran Tiger Trust which they saw promoted whilst at the park during their visit.

The park donated a large tiger fr the girls to raffle and also smaller items from the gift shop were donated for a wild animal stall. All of the proceeds also went to the sumatran Tiger Trust.

Other stalls for the fundraiser included, Make a tiger mask, Tiger face painting, Tiger cheer leading, Help make a giant wild animal collage, Pin the tail on the tiger, Guess the weight of the tiger, 'Endangered' puppet show, 'Draw a Tiger' art competition, Wild Bran Tub and make an animal cradle.
